How do you pull the tape off without spilling ink?
There isn't a mechanism in the printer to automatically puncture the tape. My opinion: The tape needs to be removed with the cartridge in the upright position so that it will not leak. If the cartridge is sealed with the tape on, it creates a vacuum inside the cartridge as the ink is used. When this happens, ink will not flow out of the cartridge into the print head. Air is supposed to enter the cartridge to fill the void left by the ink as it is used. This balances the pressure so ink can continue to flow as required. The free end of the tape is a tab. It is a tab so you can easily remove the tape, thereby exposing the air vent to the atmosphere. If this were automatically punctured in the printer, it wouldn't need a length of tape with a tab. A simple dot of tape over the vent hole would suffice. The vent hole is on the upper right side of the cartridge, looking at the rear. It is shipped with tape covering the vent. This is done so the ink doesn't flow out during shipment.

Hi there! The Super High Yield cartridges hold more ink than the High Yield, so they will last you longer. To give you a better idea of the longevity, the estimated page yield for the Super High Yield LC205 Cyan cartridge is 1,200 pages and the estimated page yield for the High Yield LC203 Cyan is 550 pages.
Please double check your printer model number to see if your printer is compatible with these, since not all printers use the Super High Yield cartridges. -
